ASTRAL CHAIN, a brand new IP from PlatinumGames which was announced on February 13rd, 2019 in Nintendo Direct, already has its global release date set on August 30th, 2019. The trailer of the game is now available on Nintendo’s official channel on YouTube. This title is designed for Switch (Nintendo) exclusively by PlatinumGames, and will be published by Nintendo. The publisher offers both physical cartridge and digital license at the price of ¥8,618 (tax included). These can be pre-ordered on My Nintendo Store (domestic shipping only) or retailers such as Amazon  (international shipping eligible). Besides the base game, they also offers ASTRAL CHAIN COLLECTOR’S EDITION at the price of ¥10,778 (tax included), which contains x1 copy of the game (physical/digital), x1 original soundtrack CD, x1 artbook. It can be pre-ordered on My Nintendo Store (domestic shipping only) or retailers such as Amazon (international shipping eligible). This COLLECTOR’S EDITION is Japan version, and it’s the only one served as special edition as currently there is no official information regarding to western or European version (※NOTE: The currency used in this post is Japanese Yen, currency exchange fee and shipping fee may be calculated for foreign purchase, plus shipment may won’t be supported for some regions. Some retailers may offer cheaper price). The game follows action RPG and owns an anime-style art under 3D graphics. According to the information written on launch site, the game is playable with 2 players, however the detail is staying undisclosed.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the 16th title of Fire Emblem series which was announced on February 13rd, 2019 in Nintendo Direct, already has its global release date set on July 26th, 2019. The publisher offers both physical cartridge and digital license at the price of ¥6,980 (tax excluded). In additional, they also offers many different limited packages based on regions. Currently, there are three regions that officially have its own version including Seasons of Warfare in North America, Fódlan Collection in Japan and an unnamed version in United Kingdom. Seasons of Warfare includes x1 copy of the game (physical/digital), x1 music CD, x1 artbook, x1 steelbook, x1 2020 calendar. Players can pre-order it via retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. at the price of $99.99 (tax excluded) (※NOTE: This is US Dollar, currency exchange fee and shipping fee may be calculated for foreign purchase, plus shipment may won’t be supported for some regions. The game follows strategy genre, tactical style  with an anime-style art under 3D graphics.

Pokemon Sword and Shield

The 8th generation of Pokémon has been announced on February 27th, 2019 in Pokémon Direct. These two newest titles in Pokémon series are named Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The games are designed for Switch (Nintendo) exclusively by Game Freak, and will be published by Nintendo. The publisher planned to release them worldwide in winter 2019, however specific date as well as estimated price aren’t yet declared. Same as other titles in the series, the games still follow turn-based RPG genre with anime-style art under 3D graphics. Sword & Shield is set in Galar region where its environment is diverse from quiet rural landscapes, modern cities, great grasslands to steep snow mountains. People in this region are together with Pokémon developing the industries. The protagonist starts his/her own adventure as well as tries to challenge and defeat the gym leaders of Galar to become a great Champion. Three Pokémon that can be chose to become the protagonist’s partner, including: Grookey – a mischievous chimp Grass type Pokémon, Scorbunny – an active rabbit Fire type Pokémon and Sobble – a timid lizard Pokémon.

LINE just revealed a new title for Mario series called Dr. Mario World. The game is designed for Android and iOS by the joint development between LINE and NHN Entertainment, then it will be released by Nintendo. The publisher planned to release it in Japan and North America in summer 2019 first before expand to global in more than 60 countries. Due to worldwide launch, the game offers many in-game languages including English, Japanese, and some other languages in the future. It will be launched as free-to-play app with in-app purchases (price range: ¥100/item¥9,800/item, ※NOTE: This is Japanese Yen, the currency may change based on buyer’s region), there is a high chance that gacha system will be implemented just like other mobile games. The game follows puzzle genre, however in-game graphics isn’t showed yet.

A brand new title called Yoshi Craft World will start the service globally on March 29th, 2019. The game is designed and will be published exclusively for Switch (Nintendo) console  by Nintendo. The company offers both physical cartridge and digital license with the price is ¥5,980/copy (tax excluded) (※NOTE: This is Japanese Yen, the currency may change based in buyer’s region, plus some retailers may offer cheaper price). The game is already available for download, however, players have to wait until release date to able to play it. The game follows adventure genre with side-scrolling style but associated with a upside down flip feature that brings players to a whole new different view. The game owns an cartoon-style art under 2.5D graphics. Furthermore, it also supports co-op mode but only up to 2 players in both TV mode and Table mode (※NOTE: Require only one Switch system, but each player needs one controller to play, can use either Joy-Con (left/right only or both) or Pro Controller).

An enhanced port of both New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U called New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will start the service globally on January 11st, 2019. The game is designed and will be published exclusively for Switch (Nintendo) console by Nintendo. The company offers both physical cartridge and digital license with the price is ¥5,980/copy (tax excluded) (※NOTE: This is Japanese Yen, the currency may change based in buyer’s region, plus some retailers may offer cheaper price). Players who pre-order the game before January 14th, 2019 23:59 (JST), can get double Gold Points for My Nintendo account. The game is already available for download, however, players have to wait until release date to able to play it. The game follows adventure genre with side-scrolling style, and owns an cartoon-style art under 2.5D graphics. Furthermore, it supports co-op mode max up to 4 players in both TV mode and Table mode (※NOTE: Require only one Switch system, but each player needs one controller to play, can use either Joy-Con (left/right only or both) or Pro Controller).

Nintendo just announced that they will open New Year 2019 Sale event from January 1st, 2019 0:00 (JST) to January 14th, 2019 23:59 (JST), up to 30% off. It is specially designed for the games ran on Switch (Nintendo) console, all sale-off targets are listed as below:

Besides all the games mentioned above, the event is also applied for the ticket used in Karaoke JOYSOUND for Nintendo Switch (2018). All sale-off prices are listed as below:

NOTE: It requires changing account region to Japan first before opening eShop to able to see the event. All sale-off prices are showed under Japanese Yen (¥), exchange ratio may lead to difference in the price when making purchase with foreign currency. All sale-off targets can run on all Switch systems sold worldwide, however, some games may have region restriction due to Online mode which make in-game language/server become unchangeable.

A brand new title called Fitness Boxing just started the service on December 20th, 2018 in Japan. The game is designed exclusively for Switch (Nintendo) console by Imagineer and has been published by Nintendo. After Japan, the publisher will release it in Europe on December 20th, 2018 then in North America on January 4, 2019. The publisher offers both physical cartridge and digital license with the price is ¥6,264/copy (tax included) (※NOTE: This is Japanese Yen, the currency may change based on buyer’s region, plus some retailers may offer cheaper price). The game follows exergaming genre, exactly is rhythm exercise with boxing style. When starting, players can choose one out of six instructors to support including Bernard (Akio Ootsuka), Evan (Yuichi Nakamura), Laura (Atsuko Tanaka), Lin (Saori Hayami), Martina (Sumire Uesaka) and Sophie (Ami Koshimizu). The game provides various customizations to help players personalize own workout plan based on particular goals, plus it also has calories and BMI trackers which allow players watch the progress as well as the result.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just started the service globally on December 7th, 2018. Players who purchase the game before January 31th, 2019, can get Piranha Plant fighter for FREE. Piranha Plant will be available as paid DLC at a later time, however, not including in Fighters Pass. Plus, if purchasing Fighter Pass, players will get a limited costume of Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Mii fighter in game. The game is the 5th installment of Super Smash Bro. series and still follows fighting genre with traditional combat system of the series: Player controls a character, uses various attacks to weaken the opponent then knocks them out of an arena to win the battle. The game owns a cartoon-style art under 3D graphics. Furthermore, Amiibo system is also implemented just like other titles in the series. In celebration of the game, Nintendo has been released 3 new Amiibo including Inkling Girl, Wolf and Ridley. They revealed that many new Amiibo will be released in 2019.
